Blurb from goodreads:

In #BabyLove: My Toddler Life, a new children’s picture book by Corine Dehghanpisheh, a curious toddler loves to play… especially with his mommy’s smartphone!

When Mommy finds him using her phone without permission, it’s the perfect teaching moment.  Mommy reminds her little one that what matters most in life is time together filled with love and attention.

Her simple reminder:  Put down our phones.

#BabyLove: My Toddler Life is the second book in Corine’s #BabyLove Book Series.  The first book in the series, #BabyLove: My Social Life, won the Next Generation Indie Book Award for Picture Books 0-5.

Bea's Thoughts:

I really enjoyed the first book, "#BabyLove: My Social Life" and so did my class of one and two year olds so when we ere asked about reviewing this book, I quickly said yes. It didn't grab me or my class (a different group, though the same age range) as strongly as the first book did, but it was enjoyable. It's one of those books that the more I read it, and the more my class listens to it, the more enjoyable it becomes.

The child from the first book is older now but still active and mischievous. He gets hold of his mothers smart phone and plays with it. Corine Dehghanpisheh gives us a gentle story about technology, young children, and parenting. Told through cell phone photos and selfies, Dehghanpisheh gently encourages us to put down the phone, forget about hash tags, and just live our life, to enjoy it and enjoy being with each other. There's not quite same sense of joy and exuberance as the first book but it;s a fun book and my class enjoy the illustrations. A fun story for children with a useful message for parents and other family members.

Steph's Thoughts:

When this book arrived I showed it to Liam. He grabbed it and ran off with it. I found him sitting on his bed reading it and smiling. I had to wrestle it away from him in order to read it myself. Liam is a little older than the toddler in the book but this brought back a few memories of him at that age. He used to play with my phone and I would find it full of selfies. (Yes, I kept them all even the ones of just his nose)

I enjoyed the book because it brought back some memories. Liam loved the bright pictures. It was an easy read for him but I counted it towards the reading he is supposed to do each  night. He asked for it back the other night so I am guessing this one is a keeper.
